About the Site

The Stanley Park Explorer web site began as an online "Natural History Observatory" in 2004.

It was developed to provide visitors with a comprehensive 'look' at the natural history of Stanley Park presented through an ecosystem based view of its landscapes, flora, and fauna.

Ultimately, the site will provide users with:

• a natural history calendar
• a map based exploration system
  
• monitoring tools and projects
  
• opportunities for community involvement and participation
  
• a comprehensive biophysical inventory
