Stanley Park's Plant Life About 65 percent of Stanley Park's 400 hectares (1000 acres) is covered by coast forest with its distinctive community of giant conifers, understory trees, shrubs, herbs and tiny forest mosses. 
Today's Stanley Park with its forest, freshwater, and marine ecosystems provides diverse habitats that support the growth of well over 200 species of flowering and non-flowering plants.
