The Fauna of Stanley Park

Explorer's Field Guides answer basic questions about:

    Who they are - Taxonomy
Where to find them - Habitat
When you can see them - Seasonality
    What they're doing - Behaviour

Animals as Teachers

There are many reasons for you to get better acquainted with Stanley Park's fauna.
There's beauty, magic, and mystery in their worlds and they have special 'knowledge'
of this place that we are only beginning to imagine and appreciate.

One of the reasons I come to Stanley Park is to be reminded that
of the ten million plus species of animal life on the planet,
we, the species Homo sapiens, are only one - and that why,
if we think we are so important, are there so many, many, others?
